About Birth Professional International

BPI is a culmination of 23 years of training & mentoring new birth workers

Many of those birth workers encouraged me for years to create my own trainings and continuing education instead of training for someone else. It would allow me to meet the needs of the students I have had, and continue expanding for both them and my own business.

It has been a natural evolution that I have welcomed with open arms while separating it from my business as a birthworker and how it started. I hope that you will enjoy learning with us all and helping change the world not only for birthworkers, and their clients, but for you as well.

May we all continue to move forward with our dreams and create the best solutions for our clients that will better births and lives.

As the Founder and Executive Director of Women Honoring Women, Ruth Kraft, has been working with women and mastering her ability to nurture in a profound way her entire life.

After researching and having great interest in the birth process for many years prior, she then chose to turn it into a career. She has been certified through 2 of the largest organizations for doulas, both recognized for their excellence in training both doulas and childbirth educators.

She has now created her own certification process and trains other birth professionals to pass on her wisdom. She travels all over the country to train and mentor other birth workers in Labor doula, Postpartum doula, Lactation counselors , childbirth educators and advanced classes.

She has years of public speaking to groups of pregnant women in small offices or for larger groups at locations such as Babies r’us. She enjoys volunteer work and has been a featured expert as a lactation specialist on AllExperts.com. She also has in the past served on the Parent Panel for SoloParenting, a local West Palm Beach TV show to help single parents cope with the struggles of being a single parent.

Ruth is a single mother of Emma and Jacob , who are her greatest joy. Giving birth to her daughter 6 weeks early from pre-eclampsia she knows the importance of helping women through NICU stays, preemies and breastfeeding such a small baby. She has experience with breastfeeding, attachment parenting, Hypnobirthing, Lamaze, home births, twins, breech vaginal births, special needs babies, preemies and more! She has taken courses such as Redirecting Children’s Behavior (RCB) and Conscious Discipline for the purpose of peaceful parenting. She devotes space in her life for self improvement and learning conscious discipline parenting skills.

a comprehensive program that is engaging and enjoyable to watch

I have known Ruth as a doula and birth educator. She is extremely knowledgeable and maintains her education, keeping current with best practice. I was excited to see what she is teaching for breastfeeding. She has put together a comprehensive program that is engaging and enjoyable to watch.

Her training is well developed, covers many important aspects of lactation and yet is straightforward and digestible.

Ruth is very Zen in her approach to teaching, which invites the learner to relax and absorb the enormous amount of information she has provided, in an organized package for the learner.
