Ruth is motivational, genuine, direct, and sometimes comical, in her passion and drive to help new parents, doulas and other birthworkers and anyone who works with them. She feels strongly about presenting on ethics, advocacy, autonomy, trauma informed topics related to parenting, work as a birth professional, breastfeeding, doula work, birth related disparities, emotional connection/intelligence and postpartum subjects.
Ruth is available as a guest speaker for inservices, conferences, and educational summits. Ruth is also available for podcast interviews, professional development training, and workshops. She creates her own curriculum for education trainings and can accommodate a large variety of subjects related to birth & postpartum care. Ruth can customize her talks and educational content based on location and time restraints.
Ruth has knowledge and experience to share with anyone who works with the mother baby dyad, including birth workers in mother baby units. Ruth's skills are also relevant to those who work with babies and families, such as outreach workers, social services, early education professionals, and adult education professionals.
Ruth can speak to broad topics for labor doulas, postpartum doulas, childbirth educators and lactation & breastfeeding counselors. She can also bring her experience to topics such as parenting (including conscious parenting), informed pregnancy, trauma informed subjects, and more. Fees are based on many factors like location, duration of speaking events, travel expenses etc. She is willing to try to work within a budget that is limited especially for non profits and social causes as well as ongoing speaking engagements.
