The rebozo comes from a culture that holds is sacred and is a piece of art. It also has been used in birth for a long while. Mexican midwives and birthworkers have passed down many of the uses to other birthworkers to help make birth better for all. Learn what you need to consider when purchasing and using one, how to do so effectively and what to avoid.
Module Three
Options through Labor Stages
We not only work with a rebozo, we discuss many other options with and without one. Using our hands to having more than one support person to create the desired comfort for our clients, to birth balls and peanut balls. We go thought many options.
We will go through the stages of labor and practice many different possibilities and discuss why we would use them and when. How to make sure we are supporting our clients but also supporting ourselves as birthworkers to make our job easier.
